Hydrostatic Pressure Testing Procedure

  • Visual inspections
  • Immerse cylinder in water for more than 8 hours
  • Conduct hydrostatic pressure test
  • Put on the cylinder drying rack
  • Inspect inner of the cylinder
  • Install the cylinder valve and charge the cylinder

NOTE: Charge cylinder in accordance with CGA Grade D standard

It is capable of high pressure and low pressure system, functional test of SCBA backplate, the tightness of the mask and also NFPA and non-NFPA systems. It meets NFPA and EN standards.

Pressure Test for Protective Clothing

According to ASTM F1052 “Standard Test Method for Pressure Testing Vapor Protective Suits” requirement, the SCBA can be used if it has passed the visual inspection and full functional tests. We recommend that these garments be retired every five years.

Maintenance Intervals

When the protective suit is received, inspection and pressure test should be conducted. It should be inspected at least once a year or once after each use.

Maintenance Instructions

  • External / Internal visual inspections
  • Inspect the material, lens and the gloves for possible damages
  • Ensure the exhalation valve and the Inhalation valve works properly
  • Check for leak tightness

Protective Equipment Testing

Assist employees in selecting appropriate protective equipment and being familiar with the products. Require and encourage them the correct use and donning. Regularly check and evaluate the conditions of the product. Provide the testing reports in order to know the results. Create database of protective equipment options.
